Sustainable Self-Care for Cozy Season

As the weather cools down and the days start to slow, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to take care of ourselves, really take care of ourselves, in a way that feels simple and kind. Cozy season always reminds me to slow down, light a candle, and give a little more attention to the small things that make me feel grounded. At Wildfire, I try to fill the shop with products that make those everyday moments feel special... things that work beautifully, are made thoughtfully, and don’t create more waste. If you’re looking to refresh your fall routine, here are a few of my favorite self-care staples this time of year.

Shampoo & Conditioner Bars: I love these because they’re plastic-free, easy to travel with, and they actually make your hair feel clean without drying it out. We have both full-size bars and minis, which are great if you’re trying them for the first time or just want something small for a weekend away.

Body Lotion & Scrub: My skin gets extra dry once the air turns crisp, so I’ve been keeping the body lotion and scrub close by. The scrub gently exfoliates without being too harsh, and the lotion leaves your skin soft and hydrated — perfect after a warm shower at the end of a long day.

Deodorant Sticks: These deodorants have been a customer favorite. They come in three different scents, they’re aluminum-free, and they really do work. I love that they’re made with simple, natural ingredients that are good for your skin and the planet.

Candles, Car Fresheners & Perfume Rollers: I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of lighting a candle at the end of the day. Our soy candles are non-toxic and burn beautifully. The fall car air fresheners bring that same cozy feeling to your drive, and the perfume rollers are an easy, subtle way to carry a favorite scent with you.

Natural Bar Soap: These are handmade in North Carolina, and I love how simple and beautiful they are. They’re gentle, last a long time, and make your whole bathroom smell amazing. It’s one of those small swaps that makes a big difference.

Lip Balm That Actually Heals: Our handmade lip balms are made with just a few clean ingredients, but they really work. Instead of just sitting on your lips, they actually heal them. I keep one in every bag this time of year.

I think self-care can be as simple as slowing down, taking a deep breath, and using things that make you feel good about what you’re putting on your body and into your home. These products are some of my personal favorites for cozy season, and I hope they bring you the same sense of comfort and calm they bring me.

From my heart (and my cozy fall routine) to yours,

Emily
