A peek into the people and purpose behind one of our most-loved products.
I just returned home after a trip in the Catskills, surrounded by people who genuinely care about the planet—and about doing business differently. I was invited to a retreat with Dip, the makers of the salon-quality shampoo and conditioner bars we carry at Wildfire, and I couldn’t wait to share a bit of this experience with you.
Wildfire has always been about more than just beautiful things—it’s about where they come from, who made them, and why they matter. Dip is one of those brands that makes me feel proud to stock their products on our shelves. Their bars are plastic-free, travel-friendly, long-lasting, and actually work. But being here in person with the team behind the brand? It’s reminded me that Dip is also just made up of really good humans.
During our time together, we swapped stories, shared meals, learned from each other, and talked about what it means to run a sustainable, values-driven business in a world that doesn’t always make that easy. It was equal parts inspiring and grounding.
One thing I’ve loved most is how fiercely Dip stands for their mission. They’re not just talking about reducing plastic—they’re living it. Every detail of their business is intentional, from ingredients to packaging to the way they show up for their community (which includes us, their stockists). They’ve also built a brand with humor, boldness, and an edge that makes sustainability feel real and accessible—not preachy or perfect.
Moments like this—where I get to step away from the shop and connect with the people behind the products—remind me why I started Wildfire in the first place. I want you to feel confident in the things you bring into your home and onto your body. I want you to know that these aren’t just “products”—they’re stories, relationships, and values in physical form.
So if you’ve been curious about trying Dip, this is your sign. These bars are a tiny daily ritual that reduces waste, supports a small business, and honestly makes your hair feel amazing (even my crazy curls).
Thanks for being part of a community that makes all of this possible.
With love,
Emily
